Tamara Dassanayake, MD
Tamara Dassanayake, MD, helps women of all ages manage their gynecologic and obstetric health. Practicing at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, PLC, she serves patients in the Metro and Central Iowa areas.
She enjoys managing both high and low-risk pregnancies and multiple gestations. Dr. Dassanayake is truly committed to the entire obstetrical process and along with our other physicians, works hard to make it a pleasant experience for her patients.
Dr. Dassanayake grew up in Sri Lanka and London, England. She graduated from Bowdoin College and received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Dassanayake is Board Certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Lindsey Jenkins, MD, provides comprehensive and evidence-based gynecological and obstetric care to women in the Metro and Central Iowa areas at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, PLC. She provides thorough care to all patients. Dr. Jenkins performs minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery – and like all the physicians at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, specializes in robotic-assisted surgery.
Dr. Jenkins was born and raised in Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa and received her Medical Degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Jenkins is Board Certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She offers compassionate medical care at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines to women of all ages in the Metro and Central Iowa areas.
Dr. Schaenzer graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine where she received a Medical Student Teaching Award and Student Choice Award: Outstanding Resident in OB/GYN.

Jennifer Schuchmann, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN serving patients at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, PLC in the Metro and Central Iowa areas. She is particularly focused on screening and treating abnormal bleeding, abnormal PAP smears and sexually-transmitted diseases. Dr. Schuchmann offers women of all ages a variety of care.
An Iowa native, Dr. Schuchmann did her undergraduate at Iowa State University and received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Schuchmann is Board Certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Steve Feltz, MD
Steve Feltz, MD, offers comprehensive healthcare to women in the Metro and Central Iowa areas at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, PLC. He is particularly focused on Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, helping women with pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic floor reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Feltz is also experienced in obstetrics, evaluating abnormal PAP smears, providing well-woman gynecologic services, and evaluation and treatment of heavy menstrual cycles.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Dr. Feltz completed his residency at Indiana University Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and also in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.

Lisa Vigue, MD, provides expert OB/GYN care at OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, PLC, serving women from the Metro and Central Iowa areas. She performs numerous office procedures and treats abnormal Pap smears, uterine bleeding, irregular periods, and health concerns that arise around menopause.
Dr. Vigue, a Wisconsin native, graduated from Creighton University and also received her Medical Degree from Creighton. She completed her residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She later relocated to Iowa joining OBGYN Associates of Des Moines, PLC. Dr. Vigue is Board Certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

A graduate of the University of Iowa, he earned his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines. Dr. Fagerland completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He is a Des Moines native and returned to the area to practice.

Darci Lewis, ARNP
Darci Lewis, MSN, NP, treats women of all ages and she specializes in contraception counseling. She offers and manages treatment plans for women with abnormal Pap smears. Treating women in the Metro and Central Iowa areas.
She received her Associates in Nursing at Santa Fe Community College in Florida and then went on to receive her Masters/Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Florida. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner with OBGYN Associates of Des Moines since 2004.
Darci is married and has two children. She has a passion for continuous learning so she can provide her patients with the best OB/GYN care possible.

Whitney Suckstorf, CNM
Whitney Suckstorf, CNM, is a certified Midwife specializing in assisting women through their pregnancies from start to finish.
She is also there for complete well-woman exams, including a thorough head-to-toe assessment, pelvic exams, annual exams, pap testing, lab work, clinical breast exam, STI testing, lifestyle and nutritional assessment, and support for wellness goals.
Whitney attended the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, MSN Nurse Midwifery, and has several years of experience in the field.

Kamarin Allen, ARNP
Kamarin Allen, ARNP, has a passion for preventive care and contraception education.
She received her BSN in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Science. She went to Simmons University to receive her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Her interest in women’s health led her to be a labor and delivery nurse for a few years and eventually work to serve women of central Iowa at Obstetrical & Gynecological Associates of Des Moines.
